AP Music Theory

This is an on-going slide deck in which Mr. Jiménez shares music with his AP Music Theory class that he doesn't just love, but that he *LURVES*. One of Mr. J's challenges to his AP students is to think more broadly about music and realize that music is music. While we will study music of the Common Practice Period (1600-1900), we will also be taking those basic elements of music and try to apply them across genres, thus broadening our appreciation of music of all types. You are invited to join us on this journey from now through June 2025. (Mostly) Daily slides will be added here as we discuss them in class. The goal here is to explore as many genres as possible. Ask an AP Music Theory student about the discussion(s) we have if you want to know more. OR... Google is your friend. 😉
