2026-2027 Placement Auditions happening now! (Feb 2-12)
***PLACEMENT AUDITIONS FOR 2026-2027 are currently OPEN.***
Auditions for current CP students will be February 2-6, 2026.
Auditions for incoming students will be February 9-12, 2026.
Audition Results will be posted in M-1 and on Google Classroom on
Friday, February 13 at 3:30pm.
To sign-up for an audition, click the appropriate Sign-Up Genius button below. One is for current CP students and one is for incoming 9th graders (current 8th graders) and transfer students of any grade level. If you have any questions about auditions, please contact Mr. Jiménez via email at jimenezj@mdusd.org
This sign-up is for current CPHS students only. All auditions will take place during your regular band or orchestra class period. If you are a current CP student, but you are not currently enrolled in a band or orchestra class, you should sign-up for an audition during RTI.
This sign-up is for incoming students for the 2026-2027 school year. All auditions will take place after school. Students that should use this sign-up are current 8th graders and any upper grade students that are transferring to College Park for the 2026-2027 school year.

Auditions for Wind Ensemble Honors (all students):
Solo Excerpt - Something that shows your best playing skills.
Scales: All 12 major scales & chromatic scale. They DO NOT need to be memorized. Click the scale sheet links below to download and print your scale sheet. You must use the scale sheets provided below.
Sight-Reading.
Auditions for Symphonic Band (incoming 9th grade only):
Solo Excerpt - Something that shows your best playing skills.
Scales: 6 major scales of your choice & chromatic scale. They DO NOT need to be memorized. Click the scale sheet links below to download and print your scale sheet. You Must use the scale sheets provided below.
Sight-Reading.
Auditions for Chamber Orchestra Honors (all students):
Solo Excerpt - Something that shows your best playing skills.
Scales: 4 scales as printed on scale sheets below (chromatic scale not required). You must use the scale sheets provided below.

**Auditions for Jazz Ensemble (aka Jazz Band Honors) will be held at the start of the fall semester 2026.
